To raise enough money for his mother’s heart transplant, former Army Ranger Cole Mercer signs a death waiver and joins Lone Survivor, an underground livestreamed competition. One hundred contestants are dropped into the Amazon rainforest with only one rule: survive for one hundred days. Every time someone dies, another $100,000 is added to the prize pool. Cole saves Marcus, a powerful fighter risking his life to pay for his daughter’s leukemia treatment, and later takes in Leo, a teenage boy from an orphanage.
