Anna Reed is an admin assistant at Apex Construction Group and the company’s only French engineering interpreter. For six years, she handled all the translation for the company’s $900 million partnership with French clients. When new manager Coleman cuts her stipend upon taking office and replaces her with Jessica, a so-called French-educated master’s graduate, Anna refuses to translate.
